How do I assign roles so that my AI Receptionist can transfer calls based on callers' requests to speak to a department?
Roles are any job titles or tasks a team member is responsible for. Roles tell your AI Receptionist who to transfer calls to based on callers’ inquiries. To define a staff member's role:
- Login to your Nucleus account
- Click on the Attendant page and Staff Directory tab
- Click on the staff member you want to add a role for
- In the Team member roles field, type the team member's role, such as "billing", "CEO", or "analyst".
- Hit Enter/Return or Tab on your keyboard
- Enter as many roles as you want; just make sure to his Enter/Return or Tab on your keyboard betwen each role
- Click Save and watch for the green success message
